An average Mexican drinks about 160 liters of soda a year, making Mexico the largest soft drink consumer in the world. Mexico has created new taxes on soft-drinks and foods high in calories. This tax started after Mexico beat the United States to be the most obese nation in the world.
I'm glad that they have decided to do something about obesity as it is a very serious issue. I wonder if some people will be upset about this tax?

I think many will be upset, because most of the cheap foods are the unhealthy foods, so when cheap foods become more of a hassle to buy with this "fat tax", some people are going to be very ticked off.
