A plane carrying 18 people crashed Sunday, killing eight, while landing in Bolivia, and ten other passengers were injured. The plane, which belongs to local airline Aerocon, departed from Trinidad, and according to witnesses, went off the runway and caught fire after disappearing into some brush. Some by-standers said that it was raining at the time of the crash and that because of a lack of equipment, it was difficult to rescue the victims. According to the Brazilian government, this is the fourth accident for Aerocon since 2012.
I find this terrible, but definitely a good outcome for how terrible crashes usually are. Hopefully, Brazil can improve its ability to locate passsengers in the rain in case of a crash. Its definitely very sad that people died, but luckily the others were only injured and survived the crash.
