Heather McKay Endangered baby panda dies of an unknown cause
A highly celebrated baby panda was born at the Washington zoo. However the 4 ounce newborn panda, only the size of a stick of butter mysteriously died 6 days after birth. The baby appeared to be healthy so the cause of death is still unknown. The only cause of death that has been ruled out i being crushed by it's mother. This is not only sad because the new baby panda was a highly anticipated attraction for the zoo, but because pandas are one of the most endangered species in the world with a population of only 1,900. Researchers hope to find the cause of death in order to prevent this from happening again.

This is so sad! They need to figure out what killed this baby panda so that no other panda has to suffer the same consequences. :(
