CNN's Brittany Brady and Susan Candiotti wrote this article on September 23. As we all know, tigers have been known to attack people, but surprisingly a 25-year-old man was not attacked when he jumped into a tiger's den. He actually said that he jumped into the tigers den to become one with the tiger, and that he wasn't drunk or crazy. Somehow, I find that hard to believe, but apparently the man had had a fascination with tigers and that was his reasoning behind jumping. I think this article was written to show how this man was very lucky to not be hurt by the tiger considering the tiger had an opportunity to attack. This article also shows that doing something this idiotic doesn't always end up this way.
David Villalobos was riding a zoo monorail car when he jumped from the monorail car into the lions den. When he landed he broke his right shoulder, a rib, his lung collapsed, broke his ankle and pelvis, and suffered puncture wounds. He then claimed to had pet one of the tigers. This tiger den had hot wires around the plant beds so the animals wouldn't go in them. Villalobos was then instructed to roll under one of the wires for safety. When he did so, the tiger backed off. He is currently hospitalized, and is charged with trespassing. He will be arraigned when he is out of the hospital.

I heard about this today on the radio! The people at the zoo were about to kill the tiger!!
ReplyDeleteI am dumbfounded that a person would jump into a lion's den. He is very lucky he was not killed, because jumping into the den is like trying to commit suicide.
