Bomb Threats Forces Evacuation of LSU Campus

Today at Louisiana State University a bomb threatening caused all students and staff to have to evacuate the central campus. They were told to stay off campus as the school inspected this bomb threat. A state SWAT team as well as bomb-sniffing dogs were sent to help investigate the entire campus. Students and teachers stayed evacuated for hours today. The call reporting the bomb threat was unspecified and was received by 911 at 10:32 A.M. The campus was cleared up within 45-50 minutes of the police team arriving and there were no bombs found anywhere at the university. In addition, last Friday the University of Texas and North Dakota State University both received bomb threats that turned out to be false. This is still and extremely scary situation knowing that someone is threatening colleges in the U.S. and thousands of people could have been killed. Thankfully nothing happened but this definitely gave LSU a scare. http://www.cnn.com/2012/09/17/justice/louisiana-bomb-threat/index.html?hpt=us_c2

  2. I can't believe that people are still trying to pull childish pranks like this! I consider it a major insult that it was so close to the anniversery of 9/11. Thank goodness they evacuated the campus.

  3. That is pretty scary that there were false bomb threats at three different colleges around the same time. There are just some evil people in the world.
