Romney and Obama- the China job disputes

When Obama filed a trade complaint against China for subsiding auto parts, the Romney campaign citicized him for not taking a more firm stance against China taking american jobs. Obama then said that Romney never stood against China, but was sending jobs away to China. Romney then went on to say that China was a "currency manipulator" and that the chinese stole american intellectual property and technology. He claims that they have apple stores in China where they sell fake apple products. Obama then pointed out that at least one of Romney's companies profited from copying patented products. The chinese, having always thought that Romney favored them, were surprised when he said that he was going to be tough on them. With China having a new president, who has to prove that he's not soft on the U.S., this could mean a new chapter ifor the relations of the world's two biggest economies.

This article is descibing the current trade disputes between Obama and Romney. Both are saying that the other is giving american jobs away to China. Written by Ari Shapiro and posted on Npr on the 17th of September this is a very current event. I didn't know much on the subject, except the fact that the U.S. is losing jobs to China. This made this article a very interesting read for me, not knowing a whole lot about current events. The audience that this article is directed towards are those looking for a job, who regularly vote, this article talking about the ones running for president and their attitude towards China and America losing jobs. This article was written to inform voters about the updates in the presidential debates and to inform readers about foreign affairs with China.
