Pennsylvania City Considers Banning Dogs by Megan Darlington

In Beaver Falls, West Pennsylvania , the city counicil  is trying to ban dogs from a 10 block stretch. City officials claim the dogs are a problem because the owners are irresponsible by not picking up their mess, or leaving them tied up to a post and causing noise problems. One city official claimed that some dogs "were as big as ponies". Steve Johnson claimed "It's not like anybody on the council doesn't like dogs". Then why are they banning them, I ask?

I think it's fullish to ban dogs. What's it going to help? People from the city state that they think the city should worry about drugs or prostitution instead of a fullish thing such as a dog. Who wouldn't agree with bthat claim?! The council needs to get a straight mind and realize that there are WAY bigger issues they should be addressing.http://www.foxnews.com/us/2012/09/17/western-pennsylvania-city-considers-banning-dogs-from-downtown/?test=latestnews
