Because of major droughts in the U.S., farmers are feeding left over junk food to their cows! Usually, the cows eat corn, but because there is no corn, the farmers think that cookies and gummy worms are a better substitute. The farmers were excited that this new resource is able to keep their livestock fed.
Ki Fanning, a nutritionist with Great Plains Livestock Consulting in Eagle, Neb. says, ``Everybody is looking for alternatives. It's kind of funny the first time you see it but it works well. The big
advantage to that is you can turn something you normally throw away
into something that can be consumed. The amazing thing about a ruminant,
a cow, you can take those type of ingredients and turn them into
food.'' Corn alternatives are in high demand because the drought has caused an extra small corn crop.
Woah!!! what's in the beef!?!?!What will that do to our food?...Are there stomach aches around the corner?

Oh My, this is something. I dont think that feeding cows junk food is the best thing.
ReplyDeleteThat's really disgusting. I'm glad that I am a vegetarian. I would never eat those cows. Now is the time to opt for organic foods.
ReplyDeleteUm...... that is really weird, what good would junk food do a cow
