Cuba Hit Hard by Hurricane Sandy-Molly Paley

Hurricane Sandy caused an enormous amount of damage to Cuba. According to BBC News, "At least eleven people died and 188,000 homes were destroyed." The major cities in Cuba were greatly effected, especially Santiago, the second largest city in Cuba. The Cuban government is going to have great difficulty trying to feed all of the affected families. The damage poses a big problem to the Cuban economy because of the amount of crops that were destroyed; an estimated 245,000 acres were completely demolished. This is a terrible thing that has happened to Cuba, and I hope that everyone affected is ok.
