In this article CNN talks about the devastating earth quake that happened this past Wednesday. This quake was a disastrous 7.4 magnitude quake that went all the way through Central America. It's epicenter was in the town of Champerico, and it was 26 miles deep. It is the strongest quake they have experienced sense 1976. Roads collapsed, schools and houses were demolished, many people were injured, missing, and an estimated 48 people were killed.
This article is very informative, and also very scary. I have never been in an earth quake, and have never really thought about being in one before, but now that I have it's terrifying to think that one could happen at any moment and destroy everything around you. It's the same way with any other natural disaster and I wouldn't wish any one to have to live through one. Just like the east coast with the hurricane, or Haiti with the earth quake, or even last year when there was a tornado close to Dallas. My heart goes out to all of those affected by any natural disaster, and I wish the best for everyone in Central america.

These things are scary to think about. It's important be prepared and know safety precautions that should be taken when in a natural disaster.
