Earthquake Kills Smal Child by Jessica Stegall

Maria Francisca, mother of 6-year-old Giovanni, had doubts about letting her son go to work with his grandfather at the quarry. She eventually let him go, based ont he fact that the boy's grandfather and uncle worked there and would be able to watch over him. When they got there, a 7.4- magnitude earthquake struck. When officials arrived about an hour after the shake, they found two bodies, Giovanni and his grandfather. The grandfather was wrapped around the boy as if he was trying to protect him. Giovanni's uncle was later found dead as well as three other victims. Take time today to pray for their family!
