Grandpa..I cant be Mayor :( - By Anneke Davis

Chile's late Marxist President  Salvador Allende's granddaughter Maya Fernandez Allende lost her firtst major politcal race for mayor. She lost by 30 votes. The winner of the race was mayor during the time of a past Dictatorship. He's won mayor 3 times since then. But Allende doesnt give up. According to the reading, she claims that something wasnt right and demanded a recount, which is now taking place.

In my thoughts I'd think she would win since her fathers the president and all. In those countries they bend the rules and give others advantages of others depending on the relationship among authorites.
