6-year-old Giovanni's school year had just ended, and he was bored. So, he went with his uncle and grandfather to their work to help around and have something to do. They were about to begin the day's work when a 7.4-magnitude earthquake struck, leaving all three of them, plus at least 52 more dead. More than 2,200 homes were damaged and hundreds of people were injured as well. Residents felt the quake throughout Central America as far as Mexico City, and it was the strongest quake to hit since 1976.
