Hurricane Sandy Hits Cuba by Heather McKay

Believe it or not, Hurricane Sandy affected more place then just New York! Cuba, was hit pretty badly and while much of the debris has been cleaned up, about 40% of homes do not have power. Roofs are being fixed and the school system has begun to get back too normal, but the wait for power to come back is very nerve racking. The few that do have power are being very generous in sharing stoves, and letting others charge cell phones. Nobody is sure when power will be restored but the hope is that it is soon!

  1. How awful! I find it so mind boggling that one force of nature can cause this much damage. And that's not even the half of it! It also has done things similar to New York?! Sometimes, things like this are just too hard to handle.
