On election day many more Puerto Ricans than usual voted for statehood into the u.s with 61% in favor and 33% not in favor.But even though Puerto Ricans seem to want statehood, it will not be possible without congressional action.The four million Puerto Ricans living in Puerto Ricans are considered citizens but cannot vote for president and the 5 million living in the fifty states can.

They also don't have to pay taxes... I think I would vote to stay a territory. Pretty sweet deal!
