Three Europeans missing in Chile By: Mikaela Carrillo

Three men, Dmitry Sivenkov, Gillhem Billon, and Luca Ogliengo were hiking near Villarica volcano, which is still active. They all went missing without a trace, and three days into the search the police are still looking for them. They have been missing since 7 p.m. on Wednesday, when one of the hikers called his girlfriend who lives in a nearby community. Detectives are saying the male told his girlfriend that it was getting dark, and so they were going to sleep up on the volcano till morning and come back down. "What worries us is that they were unprepared to sleep over in the volcano", says Janet  Medrano, the director of the regional emergency office. While they were sleeping a cold front moved in, and it began to snow. So in other words the snow could have covered the foot prints and they could have died from the freezing cold. They more than likely died from hypothermia, since they were not prepared for the "slumber party". Still to this day they are searching, and the Ogliengo family has rented a private helicopter to search for the men.
