Andrew Tunell woman shot durring govenment shutdown

On Thursday afternoon a woman tried to drive her car through a Capital security fence, after a 12 block police chase. Police at the capital thought this was a terrorist attack and took many shots at the car and killed the woman in the process. The woman had no known motives but was reported to be mentally unstable.  The driver also had a 18 month old daughter in the backseat.

Personally i think this is awful. I understand that the police were trying to protect the people near but i don't think they should have killed the driver, i think if they could shoot her they could definitely shot the tires of her car, or they could have barricaded her car in with other cars. I don't think they should have shot her so fast. I think also if the government shutdown wasn't happening they wouldn't have killed her.

  1. I think the police did the right thing. This woman had already resisted arrest and ran from the police, proving her to be a threat, and then she tried to drive into a restricted area at full speed in the direction of a really important building full of people who are essential to the US government. That is a person who needs to be stopped at any cost.
