The powerful but small Hurricane Raymond stayed southern Mexico's Pacific coast Monday, growing slightly as it poured heavy rain north of Acapulco. At 5 p.m. Monday ET, Raymond was a Category 3 storm, a major hurricane, with top winds of 125 mph. Its eye was about 160 miles west-southwest of Acapulco, but its worst punch remained far offshore, since hurricane-force winds extended just 25 miles from the eye. The storm had been sitting still since Monday morning, and its movement over the next day was expected to be slow and erratic.
I wanted to post this since I looked up Latin American News and this was one of the articles. I hope that everything will blow over. So far the article hasn't said anything about any deaths.
That's good that the worst of it wasn't on land. It could have been a really bad catastrophe.
