Missing woman found in hospital by Becca Hodge

A British woman by the name of Lynne Spalding, 57, was found dead in a hospital stairwell after being declared missing for 17 days. Lynne Spalding was at San Francisco General Hospital for a bladder infection. She was there for two days before she went missing. After she disappeared, the hospital was searched was she was not found. Tuesday, October 8th, Ms Spalding was found by a hospital employee in a barely used stairwell. Many people were shaken up by this given that the hospital is there to keep their patients safe and that the hospital was searched throughly. Another problem is that she had to have gotten past the fire exit door which is locked from the outside and is alarmed.

I think that this is absolutely terrible. As said by Todd May the hospital's chief medical officer, "We are here to take care of patients, to heal them, to keep them safe." and for a woman to go missing and show up 17 days later dead in a stairwell, thats just horrible. I do not think it is the hospitals fault, for they could not have done anything. They did the right thing by going to the police but that didn't do much help, obviously. For the person responsible for this, it is unknown. I just hope everyone stays safe.

  1. Aw, that sucks! I wonder if the lady intentionally left, and wanted to die, or if it was an accident? Hopefully she wasn't murdered? :(
