Hurricane-force winds batter Northern Europe

http://www.cnn.com/2013/10/28/world/europe/uk-severe-weather/index.html?hpt=wo_c1

Summary:
A major Atlantic storm causing hurricane force winds battered England, France, Belgium and the Netherlands early Monday, knocking out power to nearly 220,000 homes in England and blocking roads and railways with fallen trees. At least nine people have been killed due to these winds. Wind gust have gotten as strong as 99 mph.  At least two storm-related deaths have already been confirmed and a third person has been reported missing. In Germany, five people were killed, four due to fallen trees. And in France, the body of a woman was found on a beach near Belle-Ile. Witnesses say the woman was swept away by a wave. The storm cut power to people across the southern part of England. Weather forecasters had said before the storm arrived that it could be the region's worst in a decade. Hopefully these countries can recover from this tragic storm and get things back to the way they were.

Analysis:
This is horrible! I know these countries weren't prepared for this horrible storm and I hope they do whatever they can to pick up the pieces this storm left behind. There's no way to fight back winds this strong therefore I can only imagine the struggle they were going through.
