Hmong celebration shooting by: Shadden Hashem

A man opened fire at a Hmong New Year's celebration in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on Saturday night October 12, injuring five people. Authorities don't know why the man began shooting inside but he has been arrested. The victims were between the ages of 30 and 60. "One of the individuals will probably lose his lower leg," Williams said. A police helicopter that happened to be flying over the area saw a vehicle leaving the crime scene. Officers tried to stop the car, but the vehicle wouldn't stop. They did though, see a passenger changing clothes, then throwing a hoodie and gun from the car. Police believe that the passenger, 19-year-old Ming Mee, was the shooter. Both he and the driver, 21-year-old Boon Mee, have been arrested.
I don't understand why people have the urge to do things of this nature. I do think that this particular event had to do with the fact of it being a Hmong celebration. I'm glad that the police found and arrested the two men that were involved in this.
