Summary: For the past two years, Susan Bennett; a woman living in Sandy Springs, Georgia; has been the voice of Siri, without her knowledge. Apple still refuses to identify her, but she had laid down recordings for a client eight years ago that the company is now using for the voice of Siri. She remarks at first that it was "kind of creepy", finding out it was her voice on the phone. Bennett started doing voice work in the 1970s, and today, she can be heard worldwide! But now that the new iphone iOS 7 is coming out, there will be a new voice for Siri, so she decided to finally tell people.
Analysis: Reading this article, it seemed like, from my point of view, that Susan Bennett didn't come out as Siri for the money or thanks, but rather because she wanted curious people who were 'searching for the voice of Siri' to get their answer. She says in the interview that she watched a video wherein people were looking for the mysterious voice, and that's why she finally came forward. I for one think they should give her some money or something; I mean, her voice is used by millions around the world today, even with the iOS 7 coming out! But I guess if she doesn't mind not getting credit, it's alright- and it's cool to finally see who Siri really is!
