Mexican journalist, Javier Valdez Cardenas was killed in Sinaola. He has reported extensively on drug trafficking. He is the fifth journalist to be killed in Mexico in 2017. Cardenas had founded a weekly publication and had written several books that spoke about drug trafficking and its effects on the communities.

It is so sad that there is so much violence in Mexico related to drug trafficking. It does not make sense to me. I hope that the fight will continue against the corruption in Mexico so innocent civilians can lead a better life.
Drug trafficking has been a very serious problem recently but not a lot of awareness has been spread about it because of the violence involved. It is terrible that someone with good intentions of safety had to die for what he believed in.
