Drought of 2012 could mean ANOTHER dust bowl? - Cruz Rendon

Eight decades ago (80 years ago), a huge dust bowl terrorized most of Texas and Oklahoma. about 3.5 million people ran away from their Oklahoma and Texas homes in search for safety. Thousands couldn't escape. People even went to the extreme to commit suicide. It lasted a decade, a horrid decade with dry water and no way of growing crops which was a huge part of their living.
This September of 2012,  63% of the U.S.A. was ranging from moderate to exceptional droughts. It's twice as much as it was last year. It's been the biggest drought since 1956. Since there have been extremely hot, record breaking temperatures, we're thinking a dust bowl might be coming yet again. Is there a way to prevent it? Is hurricane Isaac helping us out?

  1. I hope not the economy is already in debt. Having a dust bowl is just going to make things worse.
