In New York, families are still trying to get in contact with relatives in Cuba, however as all of the power is still down, it has been hard for them to get with them.
The hardest hit part of Cuba was Santiago, where 188,000 homes were destroyed and according to President Raul Castro, 'It looked like a bomb went off.'
The most devastating loss in cuba was of human lives, but from the wind gusts, many trees and power lines were downed along with the storm surge taking out many homes and businesses. the storm surge also took out a large chunk of the agricultural portion of the country, making their comeback that much harder.

That's so sad and scary! It would also be scary not being able to reach a family member in Cuba due to the loss of power.
