After chasing Henry de Jesus Lopez,
aka "Mi Sangre," or "My Blood," around for several months,
Columbian police finally caught him in Buenos Aires. Lopez is accused of
shipping ridiculously large amounts of cocaine to the US through Central
America. “Argentine Security
Secretary Sergio Berni called Lopez ‘extremely dangerous’ and said
he has been responsible for ‘hundreds of deaths.’" Lopez brought his wife
and child to Argentina at the end of last year, settled them in a nice house in
a gated community and then went around jumping from place to place and assuming
different identities with passport to match. He’s been seen with as many as
eight body guards. A Columbian informant was used to track him down and this
eventually led to his capture outside of an Argentinian restaurant. Officials
are still trying to figure out where to imprison him.
It saddens me to know that people have to go to extremes of
selling drugs and running from the law to make money. And they don’t have to
choose to sell drug to make a profit either, yet they do. I don’t understand
why they do and I’m sure I never will. I’m glad this man has been caught and is
being brought to justice.

I'm glad this man was caught too. People like this need to be in jail.
ReplyDeleteFinally! A happy ending story! I was getting tired of all of those stories about people killing and people going missing etc...
ReplyDeleteIt's good they caught him. Drugs are unneeded and cause so much violence.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad he was caught. This world is now a little better.
