A teen female from the Tri-State area is being investigated for a tweet she supposedly made on Thursday. The girl admitted to sending the tweet, and yet was not charged yet.
The Superintendent recieved word of the tweet over night, called the girl's parents (who were unaware), then called the secret service.
"The U.S. Attourney's office has declined to prosecute. The Secret Service says, "This was just an example of a young person not using good sense." "
I know that you guys have..pretty good sense by now, but guys. There are some things you should not post on the internet. This is a case thus explaining it. Opinions are always nice, but don't say something so stupid like this girl. It really just goes to prove that you can have something you post on the internet come back to bite you in the rear.
Ash, I completely argree with you. People should think before they post something to the internet. Also, something that is thretening. This is a good lesson for all of us to be aware of because the world in becoming more technolgy based, and once you post something it never goes away.

People make comments all the time. Me personally I dont think Obama is worried abou het comment. But we really should watch what we post. She could b charged highly.
ReplyDeleteI firmly believe that kids need to learn how to make the right decisions, especially in this day and age. I am appalled at this young girl's choices. Thank you for posting this, it is very informative. By the way, nice touch with the photo, it really gave me a good mental image.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree with you Kendall. There's a certain moral compass a kid should have when going on the internet let alone talking about the man who runs our country regardless of your personal preference towards him.
ReplyDeleteWell I think who ever posted this was very dumb. They know the govermnet looks at everything. Even if they were joking they take it very seriously.
ReplyDeleteI agree, Ash (and Kendall). Don't post things on the internet that could hurt you or another person.
ReplyDeleteThis girl obviously wasn't thinking...
ReplyDeleteAlso, wishing death upon someone? She has a lot of issues, doesn't she? u_u

I find that to be a crazy thing that she would even think about posting something like that! It just goes to show that you really need to think before you go through with your actions. Nobody should post things on the internet that could cause harm to anything or anyone. It could get that girl into some serious trouble! This is a warning for all of us!
ReplyDeleteAsh,
ReplyDeleteI agree there are something's that you can say and something’s that are just bluntly disrespectful and this is one that is just disrespectful.
This is crazy but not that suprising! Us (teens) are always attatched to our phones. Instagram, TWITTER,Facebook etc. It's definetly important to keep in mind how the things posted on the internet can affect, hurt someone else's feelings. We don't know what it feels like to walk in someone else's shoes, so we don't have the right to judge. This was a great article! Keeps me in check when it comes to posting things. Always use COMMON SENSE.
ReplyDeleteThis is really stupid, I dont understand why people put their irrelevent negativty on the internet, i mean really? about the president? of course that would be posed as a threat, she doesnt even say a reason why she "hates' him so much. Who does this stuff, seriously I urks me.
ReplyDeleteThis is such an ignorant thing to post on the internet. Yes, you can pretty much tell that it is probably not a threat that would be carried out, but not everyone thinks that way! You are entitled to your own opinions, but think twice before posting something like this about our president.
