Nigerian Mother Gives Birth On Rescue Ship - Mila Fisher

Very recently, a Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) vessel rescued 253 people from a rubber dinghy in the Mediterranean Sea. Among these people were parents Otis and Faith, who was heavily pregnant during her time on the dinghy.
Shorty after her boat was found and picked up, she gave birth to a healthy baby boy on the rescue vessel.
It was truly a stroke of luck that she didn't go into labor while on the dinghy, because the conditions would have made for a very unsafe birth.
Faith said this: “I was very stressed on the rubber boat, sitting on the floor of the boat with the other women and children. Panicking that I would go into labour. I could feel my baby moving, he would move down and then move back up again. I had been having contractions for three days.”
Out of all 253 people rescued, 97 were under 18, 10 were under 5, and four babies were not even a year old, including Faith's new born.
This event could have been a tragedy, but because of people who were willing to help, it wasn't. There are events like these all over the world, some turn out well, like this one, some not so much.
This is only further evidence that peace is needed in our world, and every little action counts.
