"3.4% of americans identify as LGBT" by Sophie Goetzmann

         At this moment in time, 3.4% of americans identify as LGBT by Gallup.  Gallup got feedback from 120,000 people in america. LGBT is the lesbian, gay,  bisexual, and transgender community. Most people are not comfortable  with answering questions their identity so its hard to get the actual answer. When they interviewed people, Gallup found that the highest percentage of LGBT was non-white, younger and less educated americans. There was a higher percentage of LGBT women than men. About 53% of the community is women. The community will affect the election because most are democratic, very few republican. This means it could effect the outcome.

    Very cool. I really loved this article. LGBT is something that I've always been very passionate about, so hearing this was fantastic. I hope to learn more about ways to support the LGBT community.
