Hurricane Sandy Scaring Many by Graysha Assoun

Hurricane Sandy evoked fear in the East Coast residents. They have all been hiding in shelters with a supply of food and emergency kits. Many people are unsure of the severity of the hurricane, but they hope it is not as bad as the previous hurricane, Hurricane Irene. Many people are devastated by this hurricane, as it canceled all plans people had and put them under risk of death. Amtrak (a train service) canceled all train rides between Washington and Boston. The city of Baltimore closed down all roads only for emergency vehicles and other authorized users. Many cities and states are taking large precautions for this hurricane. More than 3,200 spent Sunday night in many American Red Cross shelters. CNN reporter Noah Garden from New York City says his neighbors deck is filled with water and saying this hurricane could easily take out the power in New York City.
Many people are scared and cautious, but with the precautions people are taking and the highly
observant residents, this hurricane will be defeated and we will go back to our regar life. Let's hope that the East Coast are safe and that no one is injured or killed this time.
