Epic weekend-long traffic jam in Russia stretched 125 miles- Joseph Katinas
Have you ever been griped about being in a traffic jam? In Russia there was one that was much worse.
There was a backup on Sunday afternoon on part of the main highway between Moscow and St. Petersbur, the countries two most populated cities, stretched up to 125 miles long.
There was fog, snow and even a litte rain sprinkled in. Cars and trucks were motionless.
By the early evening though clear roads had had some impact. The traffic was only 34 miles long and was reported to have kept shrinking.
The normal flow of the cars is expected to return at 6.
Bad weather is the main cause of this incident. Over three feet of snow has fallen.
Meanwhile, cafés and many other shops and restaurants along the road are taking advantage to the situation and raised their prices.
Inflatable tents have popped up on the side of the highway with tables and people and food and drinks. The Emergency Ministery is even giving physocological help to the patrons caught in the nightmare.
I find this article shocking. I hope everyone makes it out safely.
