Russian MP Strongly Backs US Adoption Ban-Molly Paley

      Russian MPs strongly backed a ban on US adoption of Russian Children. The President of Russia scolded the MPs for their encouragement of the ban. The ban could really slow adoption of Russian children considering that 3,400 russian children were adopted last year by foreign parents and nearly one third of them were American. The move follows several instances where Russian children were allegedly mistreated by their adoptive American parents. I do not necessarily understand the situation fully but regardless the lives of children are at stake. If the bill passes, many childrens' dreams of being adopted may never come true.
