European Olympics to be held in 2015 - Iris Hughey

Europe's 49 members committees voted on Saturday that it will stage it's own "Olympics" in 2015. The Azerbaijan capital of Baku will host the first games with around 15 sports to be in the event. It will be held in "spring or early summer" according to the European Olympic Committees website. The idea of a European Games was first thought of three years ago but has been "in the 'Olympic air' for a long time", the EOC said. I wonder if the U.S. might do this one day..

  1. I don't think that it is a good idea for Europe to have its own Olympics. This defeats the whole idea of having some friendly competition between nations!
