On Saturday, the European Olympic Committees' 49 members voted to launch the first "European Olympics" in 2015. The games are set to be hosted in Azerbaijan's capital, Baku. They will be held in spring of early summer according to the European Olympic Committees website. The idea of the European Games was first brought up 3 years ago, and it has been up in the air for awhile. With all the excitement, the European Olypmic Committee, or EOC, says that it has "plenty of technical details to decide." There is still much work to be done, but they promise it will be an amzing event.
I think this is a really cool idea. Europe is so huge, so I think they could stand to have their very own "olympics". I can't wait to watch the games and see how all the sports play out.

So the European Olympics are only for European countries? Interesting! Smaller countries who don't usually place in the World Olympics might medal here. Hope it airs in America.
