Traffic Jam Stretched 125 miles in Russia by Corsica Steding

On Sunday afternoon on the main highway between Russia's two most populated cities, traffic stretched 125 miles.  This was caused by fog, snow, and of course, lots of people.  Trucks and cars sat motionless as people were trying to clear the roads of snow as quickly as possible.  The traffic jam shrank about 3/4 of a mile an hour.
The CNN Wire Staff wrote this article on December 2nd.  Before reading this article, I hadn't heard of traffic being this bad.  This article was written for anyone who is interested in what happened on this highway between Moscow and St. Petersburg.  After reading this article, I realized how much worse traffic jams can actually be.

  2. This is Russia... aren't they prepared for heavy snow and ice, or was this unpredicted?
