Janette Davalos: #2 : Giant Pandas are No Longer Endangered?!

Analysis: I am honestly so happy that the Giant Panda isn't extinct anymore. I think this will have a very positive effect to all of you readers. Although there is a downfall, this now means that the Eastern gorilla is now endangered and is on the list of endangered species. This article is for all of you panda lovers out there. Thankfully a read the announcement made by the International Union for Conservation of Nature released on September 4th.

Summary: For a while now Giant Pandas have been known as endangered, but they have just been ranked up to vulnerable. Although, according to the article, since they have been moved up Eastern Gorillas have taken their place. The last known estimates of population is 1,864 for adults and 2,060 for cubs. Sadly, this rebound won't last long according to studies, there is only 80 years left until more than one third of the pandas bamboo habitat is wiped out. All we can do right now is enjoy this moment in time for the pandas and hope for the best.
