Hurricane Paul by Corsica Steding

Today at 8 p.m. ET hurricane Paul had winds up to 120 mph.  The government of Mexico has issued a hurricane warning.  The National Hurricane Center said that the hurricane could affect the coast from Santa Fe, Mexico to Puerto San Andresito.  The center also said that the eye of the hurricane is 360 miles from the southern tip of the peninsula.  The storm is currently moving toward the northeast at 13 mph.  The same area was also hit three years ago by hurricane Jimena that reached Category 4 status.

The CNN Wire Staff wrote this article on October 16 (the writers are in a different time zone).  Before I read this article, I only knew that hurricanes could cause a lot of damage and hurt many people.  Luckily, this hurricane does not look like it will hurt anyone.  It is predicted that the hurricane will calm down by the time it gets to land.  This article was written for everyone living or visiting an area that might be affected by the hurricane, because they could be in possible danger.  The main point of this article is to update those who are interested or might be affected by the hurricane on what hurricane Paul is expected to do.  We always must be careful, because hurricanes don't always act like we predict them to.

  1. That is terrible. I really do hope that this hurricane calms down. I hate hearing about natural disasters because innocent people are harmed, even though they have done nothing to deserve them. I hope that if anyone gets injured by this hurricane, that they will be okay.
