Recently, an international board of scientists have released a review stating that not only is the ice melting in Greenland and Antarctica, but it is also beginning to speed up. Ice is melting from Greenland at five times the speed that it was in the 1990's. Eleven millimeters have been added to the global sea leven since 1992. This may not seem like a lot right now, but in a few years it could be doing a lot of damage to our infrastructure. Hopefully this study will raise awareness about global warming and the effects it does have on the world around us. I don't understand how people can be so ignorant as to say that it doesn't exist.

That is terrible. Eleven millimeters really doesn't seem like a lot, but the numbers just add up. I hear about global warming often, but I had never really thought about it until I had been reading so many posts on it. We need to start doing things to help the environment or else in a while, we will regret what we have done.
