Ever known a special needs child? Ever had to look after one? Some of you have and some of you haven't, but either way, you understand there is much frustration for both the child and the caretaker. Any parent can understand the pain and love that goes into parenting a child, but it takes more than that when it comes to taking care of someone unique.
And they aren't always supported when it comes to being the parent of a Special Needs child. Just recently Ashley England and her family recieved a free meal from a stranger while in a Stag-N-Doe pizzeria in China Grove, N.C. But thats not what makes the story so heartwaming. Any stranger could've been feeling good that day, and wanted to give on that particular feeling to someone else, but this stranger chose the family because of their son, Riley. Eight year old Riley has been epilieptic most of his life, and his seizures began when he was 18 months.
"England said Riley, who is nonverbal, gets frustrated because he can't speak, and he had been especially rowdy during the meal."
The stranger having seen the family's difficulty, paid for Riley and his family's meal, and sent a note reading, "God only gives special children to special people", which gave even the waitress tears.
'"To have someone do that small act towards us shows that some people absolutely understand what we are going through and how hard it is to face the public sometimes," she said.'
'England told CNN (she) plans to return to the restaurant this week so she can "find the man to thank him personally."'

This is truly proof the world does still have a heart. Among the attacks and hate the world has been feeling, its nice to get a little note, literally, that people do care. Not a few weeks, a mother recieved a letter from another alleged mother in the community that her Special child needed to go, in any way possible, and that the community, supposedly, stood behind her. The same thing has happened many times before, and will most definitely happen in the future, but so will that stranger's act of kindess also. For all the negative in the world, even one positive act can balance it out, as long as youre willing to give and accept it. In my opinion, for every mob that don't support or feel for special needs children, theres a whole nation standing around them, doing good deeds to keep up their spirits.
I like the way you wrote this article; by asking questions and introducing the article with some background, you really got me to understand the frustration of having a special needs children, which made that act of kindness (paying for the meal) so much more meaningful.
