Personally I'm worried about the girl. She's so young, if she lived with her biological dad for over a year she might not remember her adoptive family and now she's forced away from the man she's lived with to go back and he with them. I'm sure it must be hard, but she's so young that it'll probably blow over quickly for her, but I hope the process is easy in the little girl!

Cherokee dad returns daughter to other family by SK hatcher
A 4 year old girl was returned to her adoptive parents after a custody battle with her biological father. We biological father Dusten Brown is a Native American living in Oklahoma. Brown is a member of the Cherokee tribe and used the Indian Child Welfare Act to gain custody of Veronica. On Monday night brown have the girl back to her parents. Last year he received custody of her, but now she is returned to her adoptive family.

Why did he give her back to the adoptive family? Poor girl!
ReplyDeleteWhy was she adopted in the first place? Because that changes the whole story. If the girl was put up for adoption in a way that was unfair to her father, then he should have custody. But, if she was better off with her adoptive family, then it's good that they are getting custody. I agree that this will be tough on the girl, and I'm glad the "battle" is over (we hope) so that she can have a stable life again.
