Eight year old girl dies after her wedding. Eliana Perez

An eight year old girl dies after being married off to a forty yer old man. She died of internal injuries that she suffered on her wedding night. Rawan's cause if death was internal bleeding, and us believed to be the results of sexual intercourse that tore her uterus and other organs. Officials have denied this story to be true.

    that is so terrible.. where was this? & why would you let a 40 year old man marry an 8 year old girl?!

      I'm pretty sure I found this same article, and I think it happened in Yemen. They don't have marriage laws there that restrict the age that people can get married, and the tradition of young girls getting married to older men has just carried on. It's horrible, though, and I really think that some laws need to be passed on the subject.
