A interesting poll. By Nash F.

This poll brought to you by: http://nymag.com/thecut/2013/09/usa-12-times-more-interested-in-miley-than-syria.html

I think this poll speaks for itself.

This disturbs me. Why is it that more people are interested in this celebrity garbage than the possibility of the bombing of a nation. I believe this comes from a mindset of an amused to death society that would prefer news flavored snacked treats over the actual new. The Miley Cyrus thing is easier to understand and it is much easier to pick a side. Syria on the other hand is more complex so why would someone want to think hard about something important when they can just be easily entertained.

  1. Yeah, I agree with this! It seems like more people these days are concerned about things in the music/acting media than world issues, and I guess that's to be expected from teens, but it's still pretty messed up.

  2. In my opinion, mainstream has become sickening and i hate the way teenagers and children are being changed by what it said to be "in style" or "wierd". We need to change before we escalate more
