"The legacy of Danny Lewin, the first man to die on 9/11" by Todd Leopold- Katelyn Guinn 5th period

Danny Lewin was a very driven man in his short life. He was exceptionally smart and decided as an an American to join the Israelin army. In the 90s, he found a soultion to make the internet faster ''The World Wide Wait."
He was on the American Airlines flight 11, also known as the first airplane to go down and hit the world trade center, was one of the first people to die. He was only 31 years of age and had accomplished so much. He served in the military and was very passionate about everything he did.
He Grew up just outside of Jerusalem, playing sports, performing, and was a musician. When he was 9, his fathe brought home an Apple II and Lewin reprogramed it. Genius child maybe? Even at a young age he had a lot going for him.
On September 11, 2001, Just before boarding the plane from Boston to Los Angeles, Lewin had only had maybe an hour of sleep. He was sitting in seat 9B and was stabbed to death. Sense he was in the military and having grown up in Israel, he understood Arabic and probably knew what was going on. Maybe even tried to stop it.
This man sacrificed his life trying to stop the terrorist for taking the plane down. He is a hero that is greatly appreciated and will never be forgotten.

  2. What a beautiful story! He seemed like an amazing man, and its sad that we couldn't see the things he would've done in the future.

  3. It's such a waste for lives to be taken from this world by others who want to destroy. Everyone who has ever died in a similar circumstance were special in some way and had interesting futures broken.
