Summary: For a long time, those with unstable water supplies have suffered, especially those nearby a huge mass of water that is undrinkable to them as is. It takes a lot of energy to squeeze drinkable water from salt water. Although 70 percent of the earth is water, most people rely on the one percent of the world's water that is unfrozen and fresh. Water-starved nations around the world are aiming to fuel a new desalination process, with an abundant resource- the Sun. One such area exploring these water cleaning possibilities is Texas. For years, we have talked about tapping into the Gulf's water resources, especially in 2011, when Texas experienced its worst one-year water drought. So far, only the city of Seminole has a small demonstration project at the National Wind Institute at Texas Tech University. If the idea is to go anywhere, there needs to be more research.
Analysis: This is a very interesting concept that could help lower the cost of desalination, and get more water to people worldwide, especially those parts of the world that are poorer, but near the sea. This is a world history issue because water resources have been a global concern throughout history. Hopefully researchers will continue to develop ideas like this one so that things like water availability increase in our society.

14 year old Murderer By. Ayanna Evans
6 days ago a 14 year old was taken to jail because she drowned a 2-month old baby that she and her twin sister were babysitting. The call to 911 was made in by 6 a.m on an early Monday morning. 2-month on baby girl justice Justice Hull was already dead when paramedics arrived to the apartment complex. Police insist that When the young girl's mother left for work early that morning she intentionally drowned baby Justice. The same teen that drowned the baby then called to report that the infant was drowned, but the motive of this crime is still unknown. The teen who is being accused of drowning baby Justice is not being identified by name nor is her family. Justice's mother who was recently incarcerated in Dallas County Jail, raised money to be released from jail , so she can attend her daughter's funeral.
This story is really sad and breaks my heart for 2 reasons. 1 because the accused murdered is a 14 year old girl who still had her many more years in her life to live before this happened. Its really sad when people do as much as kill defenseless children for no apparent reason. It is also very sad that baby Justice didn't have a mother to watch over her other wise i don't think this would have happened. I honestly hope that of all the people that don't get justice for crimes committed against them, I hope that baby Justice does because she didn't deserve what happened to her.

Nazi Auschwitz Camp Officer, 93, Faces Trial for 300,000 Deaths by Bella Dekhtyar
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/germany/11385643/Nazi-Auschwitz-camp-officer-93-to-face-trial-over-300000-deaths.html
Oskar Groening, 93, is a former death camp officer in Germany, who will go on trial in April, and is responsible for at least 300,000 deaths in Auschwitz. The co-plaintiffs are either survivors or victim's relatives, and will be represented at the trial. He was known as the 'bookkeeper" of Auschwitz when he was tasked to gather and count the banknotes of the prisoners and pass them on to the SS authorities in Berlin. Groening states that working in Auschwitz at the age of 21 was something he had always regretted and had never forgotten, "I was ashamed for decades and I am still ashamed today."
Over 1 million Europeans, most of them were Jews, died at the Auschwitz camp alone. Several surviving workers are still being prosecuted today in order to bring justice to the survivors or victim's families. I'm not sure myself what to think of these acts courts are favoring. Although some of them were not exactly executioners in the camp, they still contributed to the slaughter of millions of people. Some of them are still ashamed of their actions today, but the justice for the victim's is what's important to keep in mind for the supreme courts.

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/01/29/joe-montana-thinks-tom-brady-ordered-footballs-to-be-deflated/
The investigation over The New England Patriots supposedly deflating footballs during the matchup between them and the ravens. Tom Brady was accused of letting air out of the game ball to give him an unfair advantage in the game. This would have made him ineligible to play the super bowl.
I do not think Tom Brady deflated the football, he has been loyal to the NFL for years, and the score between the two teams was so massive it would not have made a difference either way. They could play with a bean bag and still beat the Ravens. People who say "Brady is a disgrace" need to stop, he did not cheat and they know it.

ISIS strikes japanese journalist by: Emma Wall
http://www.cnn.com/2015/02/02/middleeast/isis-hostage/index.html
The article above discusses the issue between Japan and ISIS. ISIS has recently beheaded a japanese journalist. The reporter stated that Japan is mourning over this loss and that the country of Jordan awaits to hear news of their pilot who is being held captive. The article also goes into details about a video that was posted of the beheading and of the torture that they have put the journalist through.
I have continued to read articles about ISIS to see if people are trying to put an end to this terrorism, but unfortunately it doesn't appear to be any better. I do not understand why things like this continue to occur. I feel like ISIS has everyone wrapped around their fingers. It is so disappointing to see by-standers just watch this happen. What happened to people standing up for what they believe in?

Sony Hack Update By William Perry Esping
http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2015/01/07/fbi-director-reveals-new-evidence-linking-n-korea-to-sony-hack-answers-skeptics/
Despite evidence presented from cybersecurity firm Norse stating an inside job, the FBI still points its finger at North Korea. The FBI has what other private cybersecurity firms call circumstantial evidence. The FBI believe they have uncovered the IP addresses of the hackers and have linked those IP addresses to North Korea. However if they want a conviction they need to make sure those IP addresses are linked to the hack in order to indefinitely prove that North Korea had anything to do with the hack. I think they should follow the lead given to them by Norse. May be they are both right. North Korea could have paid a former Sony employee to give them some information. Then all they have to do is find the employee and have him testify.

Child trafficking- Makenzye Prince
In this article a mother believed selling her own child for $7,000 was more appropriate to her elder child's happiness and comfort rather than keeping her child. She is being prosecuted after the grandmother-in-law grew suspicious of her grandaughter-in-law not being more affected by the lie that she told of her baby's death. Another (not named) family member found out of the selling of the baby and immediately told police. The baby now stays with the fathers family.
I dont believe this is right. No mother should feeling obligated to sell her child under circumstances. Her reasons to me didn't even make sense. Im sorry that the baby was neglected quickly and without second thoughts & feel that the mother deserves whatever is coming to her.
