SpaceX- Mirra Capper

Yesterday, private company, Spacex announced that they planned to send two paying customers to the moon and back in 2018. The founder and CEO, Elon Musk, gave a fifteen minute news conference and revealed a few details. The rocket, which will make its first flight this year, will never actually touch the moon. Instead, it will loop around just long enough for the tourists to snag a few pictures. This will mark the first time that a manned ship has been sent to the moon in over forty years, and the cost is estimated to be in the millions. As risky as this is, Spacex could start a revolution in the industry of commercial space travel, and the future could be closer than we think.

Trump's Adress

3rd period

The Adress from the president to the people was today. He talked about how to fix some of US economic and social problems, but the question is are they really there? Do those problems really exist?I think that these problems specifically don't exist. Is there anything wrong that the money doesn't circulate between US only?Yes, US will not be the richest, so?We are not going to die because  it.We have been doing trade with many other countries for many years and have been doing fine. Secondly, the social discrimination. Are we really going to deny the entrance to many people that are fleeing persecution or possibility death?Usually these people came here because they knew that this would change their lives for good, but no one is helping to contribute to that.

Dejuan Smith Police Stop Train Over Bagels

The baked goods-based disturbance resulted in the train being stopped at Potters Bar, Hertfordshire, just after 01:00 GMT on Sunday.Video posted on Twitter showed women placing bagels on a man's head before he threw them out of the window. The train was held for 18 minutes while police took statements.During the video, a group can be heard singing: "He's got a bagel on his head" to the tune of "He's Got the Whole World in His Hands".The footage also shows brawls in the carriage and outside on the platform. It is not known if these were connected to the bagels. Two officers later board the train and ask passengers for an explanation. BagelGate", telling passengers: "Let's be clear, no bagel should be treated so cruelly. And no one subjected to intimidating behaviour."The video of the incident has been liked 17,000 times and had more than 10,000 retweets.A spokeswoman for Great Northern, the operator of the 00:54 service from King's Cross to Huntingdon, said: "We take all incidents of intimidating behaviour on our services very seriously and encourage passengers to report them to the BTP." No arrests have been made.

Dejuan Smith Man Found With Missles Palns

Haisem Zahab, 42, was arrested at Young, in rural New South Wales, on Tuesday, PM Malcolm Turnbull said.Police allege the electrician was helping to develop a long-range guided missile, and designing a laser device to warn of incoming munitions used by forces in Iraq and Syria.Mr Zahab was an Australian citizen and planned to provide IS "with the technical capability, and high-tech capability, to detect and develop missiles", the prime minister said.Australian Federal Police Commissioner Andrew Colvin alleged the man was acting alone and his advice was "fairly sophisticated and well-planned".He did not appear to have direct experience with missile or laser technology, the commissioner said.Tuesday's police raid involving dozens of officers followed a complex 18-month investigation.

Dejuan Smith Trump Blames Obama For Tormenting

President Trump said in an exclusive interview Tuesday that he believes former President Barack Obama and his top aides are behind the protests and leaks that have tormented the new administration – and he doesn’t expect it to stop anytime soon.Trump blamed Obama acolytes and the ex-president himself for the organized demonstrations that have sprung up nationwide since the Nov. 8 election, and also for the politically embarrassing leaks that have hindered Trump’s messaging. Trump “I think that President Obama’s behind it because his people are certainly behind it,” Trump said. “And some of the leaks possibly come from that group, you know, some of the leaks – which are very serious leaks, because they’re very bad in terms of national security.”

Dejuan Smith Plane Crash Kills 3

The plane, identified by the Federal Aviation Administration as a Cessna 310, was flying five people to San Jose after a cheerleading competition, Moore said.He said two women aged in their mid-30s to early 40s were "ejected" as the plane crashed. Moore credited an "aggressive response" from firefighters for saving them. One of the women was in surgery early Tuesday after suffering burns, Moore said. Firefighters would continue to search the residences for victims, although "we think we have accounted for all residents," he added.

Dejuan Smith Trump gets all the views

With so much media attention being paid to the court battles involving President Trump’s travel ban, his administration’s aggressive actions toward undocumented immigrants already in the country threaten to fly under the radar. It’s not that enforcement has been stepped up Obama actually deported people in record numbers over the past eight years but that the emphasis on potentially dangerous individuals has been considerably relaxed, leading to high-profile. No doubt we’ll soon see outraged documentaries on the subject. In the meantime, however, From Nowhere, a measured but fundamentally sorrowful drama about three undocumented teens applying for asylum, receives an ideally timed release this week, almost a year after its premiere. Back then, with Clinton an apparent shoo-in, the film was merely perceived as excellent. Today it also seems urgent.  With all the attention goes to trump 1/5

Khaled Khatib from Syria is a cinematographer as well as the press officer for the Syrian White Helmets. The group protects and rescues citizens affected by the countries civil war. In 2015 he was recruited for the documentary white helmets. The netflix documentary was nominated for an academy award was the story of 3 of these rescue workers in turkey. He was supposed to have a visa so he could come to America for the Oscar award show but because of recent events they decided it might not be the best or safest idea.

I think it is good to get out the message to people everywhere that not everyone in these countries that have harsh stereotypes against them are bad people. In fact majority are good people. Im glad the Khatib shared his story through his art form despite all the problems recently and that it was recognized for such a high honor as a Oscar nomination.

Chloe Dupuy: Recently Discovered Manuscripts of Dylan Thomas

Dylan Thomas has been an incredible staple of creative and lyrical poetry in the history of writing, and will, we hope, be praised for his incredible life works forever. Born and raised in Swansea, South Wales, Thomas grew up being read Yeats and Edgar Allan Poe, forming his initial idea of writing and expression, and spurring his drop-out from school at age 16 to become a reporter for South Wales Daily Post. Thomas went on to leave the company and start on his own personal writing for the rest of his life, gaining recognition and admiration from all of those who indulged in his books.
Quite recently, long-lost and thought-destroyed manuscripts dating from one of Thomas' most emotional and involved times of life have been discovered in England at the maid of Thomas' mother-in-law's home. This discovery has sparked a frenzy of interest and anticipation of the revealed script. There is the flurry of money felt at every mention of the script and the upcoming auction:  "Hailed as a "terrific discovery" by one leading Thomas expert, the workbook is set to sell at auction for upwards of £100,000 ($156,430), capping off the writer's centenary year and tantalizing poetry scholars around the world." One might say that Thomas was and is a very celebrated and influential writer, mostly having completed his works in Wales, yet also traveling to Italy, England, and America during his prolific writing period. In fact, Thomas' effect on America during his time here was quite admirable, influencing and inspiring many writers here and adding new creative thought to the time period, also opening up new facets of expression and reigniting the level and sense of freedom, similar to that felt during the time of the Revolutionary War and during many suffrage and freedom movements. This find is not only a treasure in its content and level of thinking, but a little insight into history, allowing for a glimpse of what passion and expression was held here nearly a century ago.

Planes crashed into small Homes in California earlier this week, leaving dead and injured searching for help. The coast line of California was hit.

I am devastated that this happened. I hope the people recover okay and that everything works out. This reminds me of all of the attacks in History, all rolled into one. It is a shame!

This week, a Jewish cemetery in Philadelphia was desecrated just over a week after another was attacked near St. Louis. Hundreds of headstones were found toppled or broken, and no suspect has been identified. It is appalling that people would stoop to dishonoring the dead in an attempt to attack a minority. This only shows how much hate crime has risen under our new leadership, and, even if it is unintentional, it won't stop until our president begins to fight against it. We can only hope that this happens.

Kiri Luckey:

Mysterious 'ghost man' appears in teen's selfie

A recent birthday fishing trip yielded more than a record-breaking catch for the birthday boy, after what some are calling a “ghost man” turned up in a selfie.
Georgia mother Jessica Ogletree took to Facebook to tell the story. Ogletree wrote that her 13-year-old daughter Haley and son Kolton were on a fishing trip with their grandparents in Tifton, GA when the unexpected guest showed up in one of Haley's selfies. While her brother is seen in the background wearing a green shirt, the man appearing to the right of him caused quite a stir for the family and social media has followed suit. “Ya'll this gentleman was NOT with them today and there was no one else at these back ponds where they were fishing,” wrote Ogletree, who added that her daughter spotted the mysterious “ghost man” when she was going back through the pictures later on.

Synthesis: This is spooky! I have heard about this man alot but I don't really believe in ghost I personally believe in spirits. But to have actually seen a ghost like figure of a man in the back of a picture is crazy! There needs to be a more efficient discovery of this ghost like figure so we can get a better understanding of it.

While Jameis Winston was supposed to be giving a motivational speech to elementary students in St. Petersburg, Florida, he seemed to have use some poor word choice that offended some people. He stated that lades are supposed to be quiet and police, etc. while he was just trying to connect with one of the student in the room who was not completely engaged. He later apologized for his word choice and explained his meaning for it. I think it was good of him to apologize for something as simple as poor word choice and I think the apology will help him in this case.

Current Events 5/1: North Korea cancels meetings with US

North Korea cancels meeting with US

Informal talks scheduled for next week between a North Korean delegation and a team of former US officials were canceled Friday after the Trump administration withdrew its initial approval of the North Koreans' visas.  Two of the people who had planned to participate said that the talks were going to be held in New York between the US experts and a six-member team of North Koreans led by Choe Son-hui, the director of the American affairs bureau of the country's foreign ministry.

Trumps actions cost the US a chance to have a rational discussion with North Korea.  I don't understand why he would withdraw their visas right before a meeting was scheduled.  Now we might never have that chance of a simple sit down discussion again.

Pediatricians warn about the dangers of kids using marijuana as it becomes legal in numerous states. They feel that kids are unaware of the risks that come with smoking marijuana. Screening of adolescents is highly recommended for all parents, even if there is no suspicion that their child is using this addictive drug.

This is very important for the kids today to stay safe and healthy to avoid complications. This reflects how as time has progressed, the teenagers have been more easily accessed to things that they should not be. We should protect the kids and make sure they understand that even if its just a little, it still counts and can cause you to go down a darker path of addiction.

A gun known as the Remington Model 700 Rifle has been firing when the trigger is not even being pulled. There is to about 7.5 million defective rifles that are firing.  This is worrying many people, especially because it actually has killed two people. But luckily the rifles have only gone off when the safety is not on. Luckily lawsuits are being made and hopefully they can solve this problem.
This kind of makes me feel uneasy, because I don't at all like the thought that a gun can fire without anyone even touching the gun or trigger. Hopefully they will stop making this rifle and that they will get rid of all of these defective rifles. Because after all there is so much danger in the world and the last thing we need is for guns to go off without someone pulling the trigger.

Melanie Escalante- locals help cleanup

In the small town of Conway, locals have been helping to rebuild the town that was recently struck by a tornado. That Saturday night as people heard the tornado coming, they hid somewhere safe. Thankfully no one was hurt but houses were. Being in a small town where everyone is courteous and helpful, locals have been helping to clear the mess and revive their neighborhood.

I love that people can still stick together even after a disaster. Even though it's a small town with a small storm, everyone is so willing to be there for one another. I love hearing things like this because it just goes to show that their is still good in the world. If we can stick together through a storm then we can help each other out through anything. Audrey Griffin "Judge blocks Texas from defunding Planned Parenthood"

Judge blocks Texas from defunding Planned Parenthood

Summary: A while ago a video was release by an anti-abortion group supposedly showing a Planned Parenthood employee planning to sell fetal tissue. The activists who released this video to the public were indicted for using fake identification a few months following and the video was never proven to be in any way factual, yet it has often been cited as evidence that Planned Parenthood engages in illegal and immoral activities and therefore should be defunded. However, Houston judge Sam Sparks just ruled in favor of Planned Parenthood, allowing for the Texas chapter to again begin receiving Medicaid funds. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton vowed to appeal the ruling.

Analysis: As a pro-choice young woman who lives in Texas it is very encouraging to see decisions like this being made in the current political environment, especially in this state. It makes me sad that a lot of people will believe whatever they see in the news and manipulate it to support anything they believe. It is already law that none of the government funding Planned Parenthood is allowed to go towards abortion in any way, shape, or form. Even besides that, abortion is an extremely small portion of the function the organization plays. This can be synthesized to the recent presidential election, with President Trump's pro-life rhetoric and the fact that a big reason Trump won the election was due to the dispersal of false information about both candidates through the internet.

"God Bless You" Aeva Ramirez1

In Panama City, Fla. a teacher, who is an atheist, at Merritt Brown Middle School had complained about being harassed by her students. A group of  boys have constantly been leaving their teacher religious flyers for her and inviting her to church. Now any time a child sneezes in class the boys will loudly say "God Bless You" and then look in her direction. The teacher has stated many times that she is uncomfortable and is afraid to talk to parents because for all she knows they are encouraging it.

Oh religion what change and challenge you have brought to this world and us people for being such prideful fools that we turn something that is supposed to be beautiful into a race of righteousness. Come on people we are in 2017!!!  Aren't we supposed to be done with battles of belief and just care about each other as human beings? Of course not conflict is written in our DNA. In this scenario the answer should be quite simple. The children, who are supposed to be middle schoolers, should start acting like them and respect that their teacher has different beliefs. And as for the teacher, just to be safe, should restrain from speaking about her opinions. Diversity is what makes this world great let's try not to use that as a way to degrade it.

A small plane crashed into two homes Monday in Riverside, California. t was not immediately known whether anyone was killed or injured.
The Cessna 310 crashed about a half-mile northeast of the Riverside Municipal Airport, according to Ian Gregor, a Federal Aviation Administration spokesman. It had departed from Riverside en route to San Jose.

Im pretty sure most of the time plane crashes are due to these small planes, i dont know the science behind it or why but thats what i know. I dont think i will ever be setting foot into a small plane just because of the risk. i think that this is a tragic incident and i would be pretty mad if it was my home.

Plane Crash in California- Hannah Niara

Today a small plane crashed into two homes in Riverside, California. The police have not found any bodies, therefore there has been no signs that anyone has been injured by the crash. Earlier before the crash, the Cessna 310 departed from the Riverside Municipal Airport and was in route to San Jose. The Crash occurred around 4:41 p.m. PT on Central and Streeter avenue. Many people were witnesses of the crash and explained how both families had left before this occurred. I have never been in a plane crash or had anything this terrible happen to me or my family. I just hope that everyone in the plane is safe and that the home of those people will be repaired in no time.

Hate crime run away | Mica Stout

Last week Adam Purinton shot three people in a Kansas bar in Olathe. He fled to an Applebee's all the way in Missouri where he thought he could hide. After talking to the bartender about his situation, he begged her to let him stay at her place which her husband and not to call the police. She was trying to figure out why he wanted to hide and finally got it out of him and called the police. He injured the three men and eventually one of them, Srinivas Kuchibhotla, passed away. The reason for his shooting was because he thought they were Middle Eastern and he wanted them "out of (my) country." After getting arrested by the police he was charged with first degree murder and two counts of attempted murder.

It's crazy to think about hate crimes, and how they affect people differently. This man opened fire at two men who he made up assumptions about AND he killed one because of it. I don't agree with many people of society these days. Obviously you did something terrible so just own up to it and get a life sentence.

Son of Nazi governor returns art stolen in WW2 - Mila Fisher

In 1939 many works of art were looted from the National Museum in Krakow, Poland. They were taken by Lora Waechter, the wife of a Nazi governor, for the purpose of decorating the new headquarters in which they resided. She took the most exquisite and beautiful pieces of art and furniture.
This week, Poland was approached by Horst Waechter, the 78 year old son of Otto Waechter, the Nazi governor who held the stolen art from the National Museum. Relations and communications were a bit strenuous at first, since the name Waechter is still a reminder of all who suffered greatly under the command of his father. But Waechter had good intentions, quite the opposite of his parents. His quest is to return the stolen art back to Poland, where it belongs.
This man stands as a role model to all who can do some good in this world, even if they have a dark past. We need more people like this who can step up to do the right thing, even if they are met by judgement and pushback.

Watch Out for North Korea - Alex Travell

www.cnn.com/2017/02/27/asia/kim-jong-nam-north-korea-klled/index.html

Two ministries in North Korea organized a plot to kill the half brother of Kim Jong Un, Kim Jong Nam. Kim Jong Nam's murder was most definitely an order of Kim Jong Un. North Korea has consistently denied the fact that they were involved, yet South Korea says otherwise.
While trying to board a plane, Kim was confronted by a women and attacked.
Help arrived, yet they couldn't help Kim, for he died 20 minutes later.

This makes me even more worried about North Korea, for now Kim Jong Un is killing his own family. Who KNOWS what that man could do now.

Kim Jong Nam dead, Amy Mills

Kim Jong Nam, Kim Jong Un's half brother, died from poisoning at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport in Malaysia on Sunday. An autopsy showed that his death was similar to that of VX poisoning. In large doses, VX poison can cause convulsions, paralysis, loss of consciousness and death because of respiratory failure. He died fifteen to twenty minutes after poisoning, Malaysia's Health Minister, Dr. Subramaniam Sathasivam says. Dr. Sathasivam also says that his final moments would have been "painful," and also adds that Kim Jong Nam passed out in a clinic and died in the ambulance. VX could be passed by poisoning of water, food, or spraying the poison in the victim's face. Malaysian health officials say that VX was found on Kim Jong Nam's face and in his eyes. South Korean officials claim that Kim Jong Un ordered the hit on his half-brother. So far there are three suspects (who aren't North Koreans) in custody, four North Korean suspects, and three North Koreans wanted for questioning. Apparently, VX traces could still be in the airport.

Kate Boyer-Could a Crocheted Octopus Save a Life?

(Above: from CNN a picture of a preemie and her octopus)
Recently, after a father requested a crocheted octopus for his newborn daughter, studies have sprung up on how this small toy could lead to another coping technique for premature babies. Around 15 million babies are born too early per year-that is equivalent to a little more than 1 in every 10 births. These babies are born with a much higher risk of severe health issues that can lead to death. Premature babies(preemies) often feel uncomfortable inside the neonatal intensive care unit(NICU) because it is an abrupt change from the comfort of their mother's womb. This irritation can cause a reaction that oftentimes results in complications with feeding tubes, heart monitoring, breathing tubes, etc. Researchers have been trying to find ways to help these tiny humans for years and have come up with a substantial amount of coping mechanisms. Most people wouldn't expect that newborn babies would need therapy, but many do. The best way to help preemies is to try to replicate the atmosphere of a womb. Babies move around quite frequently throughout a woman's pregnancy; the constant movement causes the child to interact with the placenta that surrounds them and they become quite familiar with their umbilical cord. Naturally, this causes the baby to be disoriented when born. Many hospitals around the world are trying out the idea of crocheted octopuses*. The idea is to have a comforting toy that can stay with them throughout their early years and the tentacles are supposed to more or less replicate the umbilical cord. As this has not been fully studied yet, some hospitals are weary to try this method of therapy, though there seems to be a positive outlook for these cute little toys.

My little sister was born a preemie so this was very fascinating to me. I remember my parents were very scared that she might not make it, but thankfully Olivia is here and I'm proud to be this little weirdo's big sister. I think this is a simple way to solve such a life threatening problem, and it's adorable too!

Mother Carries Brainless Baby to Term - Lauren Rothert

At their 19-week ultrasound, two parents found out that the daughter they were expecting, Eva, did not have a brain. Anencephaly is the birth defect that their child is facing, it is when a child is born without parts of the brain and skull. Eva is due on May 7th, but sadly she is not expected to live more than a few days. The parents of the unborn child have come to a very brave and noble decision, the mother wants to carry her baby to full term. Why? Eva's parents want to donate her organs when she passes away. There are many children out there in desperate need of an organ transplant, so the parents want their daughter's organs to go to someone who really needs them.

I believe that these parents are doing an amazing thing, they are trying to make the best of their awful situation. The thought of going to the hospital to have your baby and then leaving without it is saddening. I hope no parents ever have to go through this, but unfortunately it happens. I know Eva's organs will be put to good use, and her parents are taking their daughter's life to save someone else's.

Kim John Un's Half Brother Dead - Caleb Gutierrez

At an airport in Malaysia, Kim John Nam was killed within 15 min of contact with VX Nerve. Two women were ordered to do this from, what police believe were 4 men, who trained the women. The women claimed that it was a prank and believed that it was baby oil that was being rubbed on his face. The women were not harmed, but they are under investigation.

This is wrong in general (murder), but it's even more wrong to do this stunt in a public place, were thousands of people travel to and from. Anyone could have gotten killed if the women would have just touched a stair rail.

Jessica Ball Current Event 2/26/17

Current Event: Kim Jong Nam Died
Kim Jong Nam, the half brother was poisoned, and died within 20 minutes of being poisoned. He was exposed to a nerve agent at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport in Malaysia. There are suspects that are being held, but the killer has not been caught yet. This nerve agent can be used to poison someone by putting it in their food, putting it in their drink, or spraying it in their face, and this time it was either rubbed on him or sprayed in his face by someone. Whoever did it was hired by someone of a larger power who wanted him dead.
Apparently Kim Jong Nam proposed a threat to Kim Jong Un and Kim Jong Un may have hired these people to murder his half brother. It is so odd to think that there are countries out there where people get killed under little investigation. North Korea is such a scary place and we are so fortunate to live in a country where we can exercise our freedom of speech.

President Cancels Attendance at Correspondents Dinner-Current Events Victoria Gonzalez

On Saturday February 26, President Donald Trump announced via Twitter that he would not attend the White House Correspondents Dinner. A dinner that almost seems mandatory for the president to attend considering President Barack Obama's constant attendance to every dinner. The dinner is in order to sponsor journalism scholarships, and due to Trump's already fragile relationship with the media many news organizations have already canceled, boycotted or dismissed their usual after parties. White House Correspondents Dinner Association President Jeff Mason was not surprised considering Donald Trump claimed the media was "the enemy of the American people".  However Mason claimed "The media is an incredibly important part of a vibrant republic, and we celebrate that at that dinner."

Spacecraft for the Sun by Jules Stowe

Everyone is well aware that the human race has been able to travel to many reaches of space. For example, the moon, Mars, even Venus, but now we have the chance to send a craft to the very sun itself. Yes, that's right NASA plans on sending a solar space probe to the sun as soon as 2018. Though years ago many would have said such a mission was impossible, top scientist now believe that such a mission would not only be possible, but beneficial. With this new mission many hope we will be able to uncover many new mysteries about the star we so constantly orbit.

This is a very relevant mission, because by taking this leap and investigating more about the sun we can learn more about what's best for this planet. All life on earth comes from the solar waves that grace earths surface, and we have no way of being able to survive without it. Say if a volcano were to erupt and kick ash into the air of a certain area, blocking the solar rays. we would need to be able to replicate sun beams, and the expedition can aid that.

Grace Biltz | Google donates $11.5 million

Google donated $11.5 million to help fight discrimination. They donated this money to multiple organizations. "With black men sentences at over 5 times the rate of white men, mass incarceration is a major focus of the Google grants."
One organization that Google is supporting is the Measures for Justice. Google's donation of $1.5m will create a web platform to show others how local justice systems treat people based on their criminal history, including their race, ethnicity and gender. They hope that these statistics will help to change outcomes. Another organization, JustLeadershipUSA, received $650,000 to provide training so people learn how to organize and lead reform in their own local areas.
Google is one of the largest technology companies in the world. They are putting their support and money to help this cause and hopefully change some of the negative thoughts and actions regarding discrimination in our society.

Google is making a big statement by donating this money to support efforts to combat discrimination. It is a very generous act and I hope that people recognize this and start thinking differently about this issue.

Avery vance genetics

http://nerdist.com/10-biggest-scientific-achievements-of-2016/
The field of genetics remains on the cutting-edge of scientific achievements and discoveries since, by its nature, it’s one of the relatively new kids on the block. And while the very word “genetics” often conjures up images of mad scientists gone rogue (thanks to the influence of certain science-fiction properties), the science itself is actually catching up with some sci-fi predictions. Case in point: this story of the birth of a baby boy with three genetically unique parents, achieved through the intervention of scientists and medical professionals.

I think this is a crazy revolution in genetics because just the thought of three people giving birth to someone seems impossible

Edward Negrete – Grandpa's Sorrowful Death 12/13

Summary: 73 year old grandfather, Francisco Cerna, was shot and killed by police in California during a late night walk. Police were told by a call about a man with a revolver and soon after Serna was killed. Family claim the reason why their father was out was because he'd suffered from early stages of dementia. Also, officers never found a gun on the grandfather and cause of death was unreasonable.
Analysis: This grandfather's death was a miserable in the fact that he was innocent. This  tragedy can relate to many more that have happened due to police officers taking safety precautions.  Cases like this cause riots on the streets and the degraded value of a police officer. This could've been avoided on the long run but you never know who or what's going to happen.

Edward Negrete: US Nuclear Supremacy 2/24

Summary: President Donald Trump has said he wants the United States to expand its nuclear arsenal."It would be wonderful, a dream would be that no country would have nukes, but if countries are going to have nukes, we're going to be at the top of the pack."The independent Arms Control Association non-profit group criticized Mr. Trump, and they suggested that he is ill-informed about nuclear weapons and has a poor understanding of the dangers to come with it.

Analysis: These Nuclear weapons are way to powerful for anyone to have. They can cause so much disaster, no one should have such an abundant amount and the US shouldn’t be making more. Besides trying to compete with other countries they should find a way to get rid of them. Having such a war with nukes would just be an end to our world.

Edward Negrete: Transgender Rights

Summary: Protests were held, at Stonewall Inn, over the axing of the  Obama-era Federal guidelines that allowed people to use the bathroom of the gender they appealed to. Trump argued that it was the states decision and that the federal government should leave it aloneThe White House insists it intends to protect LGBTQ rights. But some activist believe that those rights are beginning to be depreciated.
Analysis: This article written by Jennifer Lahmers  is another example in how our fight for equality is still going on today. People should be able to be what they want and not be contradicted by the law. Protests like this should be seen more often and also supported.

Edward Negrete Bernie Sanders: This is Just the Beginning 2/23

Bernie Sanders: This is Just the Beginning 2/23

Summary: Voters are now confronting Republicans at the Town Hall. Bernie Sanders believes that their would be more than 100 protests taking place all over the country this Saturday, demanding that Republican members of Congress to meet with their constituents and answer the questions of constituents. "I think the Republicans have not seen anything yet," Sanders said. Many of these questions are over concerns over the Republican agenda after weeks of raucous town hall events.

Analysis: This article published by Eli Watkins was written to inform the reader how the Republicans  are forgoing town hall events over safety concerns. Which is troubling many people especially the ones needing healthcare in order to treat their severe problems such as cancer and diabetes.

Car Bomb In Syria

Car bomb kills dozens near Syria. It happened in a village north of Aleppo. They believe ISIS was behind the car bombing. This is the first time in 3 years. We all need t work to end this long civil war say a U.N Host. "We all need to work together." I agree one hundred percent with that statement, but the question is, what is there to do? What is there to do to end this? How do we as a country come together to end this? The bomb killed as many as 60 people. I'm confused as to what was the point in this? Why are you taking so many innocent lives? I will never understand things like that.

Logan mook 4th six weeks #6

Making America great again apparently includes Cold War-era nuclear dominanceAt the end of last year, after he won the election but before he was inaugurated, President-elect Donald Trump decided to proactively set U.S. nuclear policy via Twitter.“The United States must greatly strengthen and expand its nuclear capability until such time as the world comes to its senses regarding nukes,” he tweeted Dec. 22. It was an out-of-the-blue declaration that made sense only as a response to a comment that Russian President Vladimir Putin had made earlier in the day, in which Putin suggested that his country planned to strengthen its own strategic nuclear arsenal.

This is terrifying. He doesn't understand anything and it could he our demise. Such a scary situation. We do not need another cold war
