Trump has signed a paper to increase border security, and still wants the wall. They want the border because he believes that the people coming in are criminals or that they will take away from the Americans. The whole immigration thing has been a consistent thing between Mexico and the US, and the border patrol had gotten tighter after 9/11.
Well FIRSTLY we actually talked about the wall and how the US would become isolated. In class we had talked about the reasons for some of the dynasties' decline which included isolation. And maybe the US could have a liability of declining if we became isolated from the rest of the world.
