SpaceX- Mirra Capper

Yesterday, private company, Spacex announced that they planned to send two paying customers to the moon and back in 2018. The founder and CEO, Elon Musk, gave a fifteen minute news conference and revealed a few details. The rocket, which will make its first flight this year, will never actually touch the moon. Instead, it will loop around just long enough for the tourists to snag a few pictures. This will mark the first time that a manned ship has been sent to the moon in over forty years, and the cost is estimated to be in the millions. As risky as this is, Spacex could start a revolution in the industry of commercial space travel, and the future could be closer than we think.
