chantel washington current event 3

A group of men were victims of labor trafficking by Shamsul Arefin, who was sentenced to three year in prison. The group of men were told that they would be receiving an annual salary of $22,500 as well as paid holidays, free food and accommodation. one of the victims left his family in order to go work. when he got there, he realized the work was harder than he had been promised.when he demanded for money, it wanst given to him. Unable to leave because of money reasons, the victim was forced to stay

I truly think that this is outrageous. The question I have for this person is  how far far do you think you would've gotten with that? It's a shame to know that labor trafficking Is still a thing. I don't know what we can do to put an end to labor trafficking but we really need to do something.

  1. It's incredible that this still happens in this modern world and that the men were held so long. I am truly glad that they received help and that the men that held them will pay for it.
