Most polling stations around the U.S. are not made for many disabled voters. When the elections come around this year, disabled voters are going to have a challenge. They are worried they will not be able to vote because of the facility's that the polling is done in. People are trying to help by putting in ramps but people still need more. The government accountability office reported that, only 27.3% of polling places were fully accessible on Election Day 2008. Who knew that and 1/2 inches of concrete can stop people for voting. I feel like this is a disability rights issue.

This is so unfair to me. All people have the right to vote and pick who they want for anything
ReplyDeleteThis is very unfair. Just because they are disabled does not mean that they shouldn't have trouble voting. We need to come up with a better system of voting specially for the disabled.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Jared and Maddie in the sense that this is immensely unfair to crippled people. All people, even the ones with physical problems are equal and deserve the same rights as us all.
