Infant Remains Found by Corsica Steding

Police have found the remains of an infant in the backyard of a home in Long Island.  Justin Kowalczik, the infant, would now be about three years old.  When police went to the home, the woman living in it told them that the death of the child had not been reported.  She also revealed a possible location of the remains.  Once police had a warrant to search the property, they found Justin's remains in the backyard.  So far they only have one person of interest: the woman's boyfriend.  No charges have been filed against him yet.  The investigation will continue once the identity of the remains is confirmed, and the cause of death is decided.

The CNN Wire Staff wrote this article on October 7th.  Before reading this article, I had no idea that someone could get away with something like this without the police knowing.  It's awful that it can (and did) happen.  This article was written for everyone, and hopefully after reading this people will know to keep an eye out for suspicious behavior so that things like this won't happen anymore.  At least the police know about it now, and can hopefully figure out who did this to the infant.  If it was one of the infant's guardians, I don't understand how they could kill their infant and bury it in the backyard.  That is just so awful on so many levels.

  1. I can not believe that someone would even think about killing a poor little infant. This baby has just started to live, and someone just decides to snatch away their life before they can even walk or talk. I hope that this investigation is continued until the killer of this baby is found, and when they do find him, he better be punished.

  2. The mother must know something about it if she knew where the remains were...
